Looks like "The best coach in the LPD" has lost once again to GC. What does that make him since GC has been in the LPD? 1-15?

With that, congrats to THE best coach in the LPD, Coach Vermillion, and his Gate City Blue Devils, on yet another LPD Tourney Title. Pretty good run. 6 out of 6 LPD Regular season Titles and 5 out of 6 Tourney Titles. And a note, Gate City played without 2 players.

Also congrats to the Lady Indians, they outhustled and outplayed the Lady Devils for most of the night, getting the loose balls and constantly beating them down the floor. By the time GC decided to play some ball it was too late. You can't expect to play 6 out of 32 minutes and win. Hopefully this will get someones attention.

Very good win for the Devils. Great night for Tihlee.

They needed to pick up their game and they did. They need to carry this emotion and intensity into the Regionals.

With comments like that people wonder why everyone is glad Gate City is leaving the LPD. Before you all leave the LPD every school should put up banners in their gyms of all Gate City's sports accomplishments so everyone can see for the 100th time.

Then maybe you should scan back over previous posts over the months and years to see where other LPD schools have done the same as to their school's achievements. Just posting in response to some Burton fans posts previously. But I guess it's OK for some to make comments and some not to? At least when we get to the CMD the LPD fans, especially Burton's, will have a better reason to cheer against GC in the Regions.

Why just Burton fans....... You all aren't even one of our biggest rivals.... I could care less what they do next year, it won't affect us any.

Considering the major sport in this area is Football, and GC has only won 1 State Championship since they came in..and has recently been dominated by PV, and this year only beat kelly, pound and coeburn out of the district...I'd say you guys are glad to get to go to the CMD. I can't blame ya.

yeap, and GC's one title is more than the rest of the LPD had altogether

lost 6 games in 6 years in basketball, girls bball title, volleyball titles, multiple state team champs in girls tennis, individual titles in boys and girls tennis, multiple individual track titles, baseball final fours and runner-ups, softball titles...yeah, i can't wait til we get out of the big bad LPD [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]
